!! IMPORTANT NOTICE!!
In further response to the Coronavirus outbreak the main doors of the surgery will remain CLOSED & we will be doing telephone triage ONLY until further notice.
- There will be NO routine GP appointments held at the surgery until further notice.
- Appointments with the Practice Nurses will be on the telephone and will booked in advance.
DO NOT COME TO THE SURGERY UNLESS THE GP HAS SPECIFICALLY ASKED YOU TO DO SO.
If a GP has asked you to attend the surgery, you will:
- Need to ring come to the side gate and ring the doorbell or ring reception to advise them that you have arrived,
- Then a member of staff will come to the back door or take your details over the phone and advise you to wait at the door or in your car until the clinician comes to collect you.
THESE MEASURES ARE FOR EVERYONE’S PROTECTION.

The Gables Medical Group serves the whole of Bedlington as well as its surrounding area, and has a branch surgery at Cambois. The practice “boundary” is illustrated on our Practice booklet. Enquiries relating to this should be directed to the Practice Manager.
Our team includes GPs, Practice Nurses, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Healthcare Assistants, admin staff and Practice Manager, as well as allied staff such as Health Visitors, District Nurses, Podiatrist and Midwife.
We offer a full general practice service and run specialist clinics for children, pregnant women, diabetes and asthma sufferers, and for patients needing specific minor surgery. We also offer an on-site dispensing service at our branch surgery at Cambois.
Each of our surgeries is suitable for disabled access, and disabled parking spaces are available in our car park.
Disabled toilets for patients are also provided. If you have any problems accessing a service please inform a member of staff and we will do all we can to improve the situation.
