Welcome to The Gables Medical Group

We have started to carry out more routine face to face appointments at the surgery. We still ask that you do not come to the surgery unless a GP or Nurse has specifically asked you to do so.

The surgery doors are now re-open. We ask that you respect social distancing at all times and wear a face covering when entering the surgery. Please bear in mind that our phones lines are still extremely busy and if you are not attended to straight away it may mean that all the receptionists are busy on the phones. They will attend to you as soon as they can.

As before we ask that you do not attend the surgery if you have any symptoms of coronavirus or someone you live with has/or has symptoms of coronavirus. If you have an appointment booked but start to experience coronavirus type symptoms we ask that you cancel and rearrange your appointment.

If a GP/Nurse has asked you to attend the surgery, you will:

  • Need to check in at the front desk.
  • We no longer have a prescription box in reception for orders. We still ask that you continue to order your medication through the prescription line and nominate a pharmacy to collect your prescription items from.

It is a requirement for patients to wear a face covering when entering the surgery.  If you do have an appointment we would be grateful if you could come with your face covering on – covering your nose, mouth and chin.  This can be in the form of a mask, scarf or handkerchief of any sort of fabric.

THESE MEASURES ARE FOR EVERYONE’S PROTECTION.

Further information and updates regarding appointments and prescriptions and general coronavirus information can be found in the tab on the right.

Again, we would like to thank you for your understanding during this time.
